Scenic St. Maarten had a crime scene on its hands. Mientje, our 11 year old black cat, caught a gecko out on the balcony: the poor critter had no chance. Nature's garbage men took care of the rest. As a tribute to one of our favorite series, we spoofed Law & Order. Chung Chung! More about our rescue cats on the channel of Scenic St. Maarten: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6p642hp8Ufk

This is raw footage of my wife, mother in law and I traveling from SXM airport to Riu Palace Hotel in Sint Maarten few months before hurricane Irma. Initially I scrapped this footage as "lame" from what I pieced together for my youtube videos. However, after what happened, I decided to upload this as now there is no telling how this beautiful island is going to recover, and what if it will look like. It may never be the same again...Reminisce.

Christopher Emmanuel, was on hand to accept equipment from the Karel Doorman navy ship that will strengthen the arsenal of the Ministry. These dump trucks, backhoes, bobcats and water trucks will all help to get Sint Maarten back on track. #SXMSTRONG
